Message From The President
#6 is home to all of us. It is where we live, meet new people, make new friends, play and entertain. It is a place we love showing off to our family and friends, a place in which we take great pride. Your membership in POA#6 is what makes this possible.
According to our by-laws, “The purpose of POA#6 is to preserve and enhance the values which will advance the well-being of the owners.” About three quarters of your dues pay for the landscaping maintenance and improvements, utilities and holiday decorations. We, not the Village and not PCC, are responsible for taking care of the entrances, islands and the corner of 15/501 and Spring Lake Rd. Do you know that 52% of our owners are paying for 100% of our expenses? All of us benefit from the care of these areas so please do your share in maintaining our community by becoming a member of POA#6.
Other benefits of membership include:
• An annual directory that lists names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses
of all the members
• A dedicated website that provides special and current information about what is
going on at #6 and the Village, along with other available services in the community.
• Opportunities for participation in varied activities which are self supporting
• Representation of our #6 Community to the Village of Pinehurst and PCC.
Volunteers are at the heart of our association. Each board member, committee chair and committee worker is a volunteer who cares deeply about making #6 very special. Please look over the enclosed volunteer sheet and check one or more committees or a leadership position where you would be interested in serving. Send it, along with the enclosed membership application and a check for $45. If you are a renting resident, there is an affiliated membership available to you for $35. Also, please be sure to verify or provide your email address so you can take advantage of the website information available and receive special announcements via email.
We need your help and support! Look around and ask your friends and neighbors if they are members and encourage everyone to join. Our goal is to keep the #6 Community a shining part of Pinehurst.
